R S Solutions is Hiring an IT Helpdesk Analyst Near Jackson, TN

Description

R&S Solutions is a startup 3PL pharmaceutical distribution services company in Jackson, TN. We have a new 250,000 square foot facility with state-of-the-art hardware, security, networking, and warehouse management software

Essential Functions:

  • Provisioning, installing/configuring and troubleshooting computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners including but not limited to:
  • Personal computers (both MS and Mac)
  • Mobile phones and desk phones
  • Workstations, printers and periperals
  • Warehouse equipment including RF guns, label printers, scales, etc.
  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
  • Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
  • Providing technical support to all Jackson and remote users (in person or by phone/remote support tool)
  • Setting up accounts for new users
  • Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
  • Testing new technology
  • Administer the follow company standard tools
  • Opensource Contract Management system (oscm)
  • Docusign
  • Help Desk ticketing system
  • Ensure tickets are entered, monitored and closed; prepare Help Desk workload metrics for monthly reporting
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Computer Science undergraduate degree or equivalent
  • Working experience with a wide range of IT equipment and infrastructure components including Microsoft Windows, Apple/Mac equipment, Active Directory, DHCP/DNS, wired and wireless LANs,
  • Working knowledge of warehouse specific technologies including RF scanners, scales, label printers, etc.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position works collaboratively with other employees under the supervision of the Systems Administrator. No direct reports.

Work Environment
This position operates in a manufacturing and office environment and routinely engages in hands-on support of IT equipment and peripheral devices.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is required to stand, walk, kneel, use hands to manipulate, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms and requires the ability to occasionally lift equipment products and supplies up to 50 pounds.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, on-site position, and hours of work and days are generally Monday through Friday during day shift hours. Business meetings or project activities may occasionally require work be conducted after hours or on weekends. Off-hours support may be required from time to time to resolve urgent issues or perform maintenance tasks which should not be done during plant operational hours.

Travel

This position does not require any travel.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Prefer educational background in IT or Engineering-related field
  • Minimum of 2 years working within a helpdesk or in a similar technical role
  • Competency in helpdesk tracking tools
  • Prior experience supporting customers in use of application software.
  • Proficiency in using remote support software tools such as RDP & Logmein.
  • Customer service orientation and/or prior customer service training.
  • RF scanner setup and configuration proficiency
